Hillary Mountain Restaurant – Hidden Gem.
A great venue for lunch with loads of history. The hotel was named after St Edmund Hillary, the first climber of Mount Everest. There is actually a portrait of him inside. This is a lovely hotel with a wonderful sun terrace totally hidden from view, but you can ski right to your table! The mountain views from the south-facing terrace are superb. It has a great reputation for good food and fair prices and is very popular with many Méribel ski instructors. I can heartily recommend the excellent Pot Au Feu here if it is on the menu. In 2023 it was one of the best in the whole 3 Valleys.
Find it under the Doron chairlift just below the beginner’s area on the far left Reberty side as you ski down towards Les Menuires.
